I like this... tell everyone how you got it for $85 at the Royals fan fest and now you want $500 for it.

I didn't want to ruffle any feathers, but I found that comical as well. If your going to try and make a profit, fine, but you probably shouldn't tell people that you bought it for $85 and want $500. Ricardo

Haha, takes away from the interest a bit....

I mean I don't think you should necessarily lie in regards to how much you paid, but I may just leave out the fact that you got it for a steal.;)

I don't see any problem with getting a product at a steal price and selling it for profit if the item is indeed fetching that kind of price. People need to stop being envious.

It's great for him, I was just pointing out that it's probably not good business sense to outright tell your possible buyers that you're charging more than 5 times what you bought it for. Of course I would like to make $415, who wouldn't:D

Actually, its site :)

Wow, I'm really hoping that the misspelling of site-sight was an intentional pun, ortherwise the irony in that is unbelievable. I like to think of it as we're becoming more intelligent in more than just game used collecting (spelling.)

Haha, just to finish off the spell check, didn't catch this until now, but shoudn't it be holo (hologram) and not halo??

It could be halo if you are talking about the Angels!

Well as you can tell from my signature, I have a propensity to dislike all things halo related. :D Although I have to acknowledge Vlad's skill.

Good for him for trying to make a profit. What is the difference if someone got a Ali/Mantle/Jordan/Woods autograph in person for free then wants $500 for it? Everyone knows it was free.

When you go to the store and buy that piece of jewelry I hope you don't worry that your paying 10X plus what they paid for it???

It's called Capitalism;)

I totally understand that, and whenever I buy a bat or something, I assume that the person's making a profit, but for some reason blatantly saying it like that, just seems a little wrong. IDK, maybe it's just me:) Ricardo

I see nothing wrong with his selling this for such a large profit, or for stating what he paid. Shoot, if I got a steal of a deal I'd be talking about it until the next one came along. I know for a fact that other people, on this site, do the very same thing. They are practically just as upfront about it, as well. Personally, I think this makes you come across as a typical and honest collector. It was a breath of fresh air rather than the some of the "dealer" sounding banter that seems to normally come across here.
