Just recently obtained this football jersey. Heavyweight knit (not durene) with sewn on numerals and crotchpiece. Bottom section of crotchpiece (as well as tagging) has been removed. Measures to about a size 42 or 44. Black and gold sleeve striping. Very similar to 60s Iowa Hawkeyes. I included an early 60s Iowa photo, but I think this shirt is from the mid to late 60s. Striping in the photo seems a little thicker than my jersey.
Does anyone have any old Iowa photos or Street&Smiths? Does anyone have an idea of another black&gold team this could be?
