A little while back we had a discussion about bat tubes. These are new by Ultra Pro. They have one capped end and a closed end. The caps are a hard plastic and not like the rubber end ones. I just placed my order for some.

Here is a pic:

Ironic that I get a case of the old bat tubes in a few days before I see this new design. Smart design on their part.

I ordered from www.thecardkid.com (http://www.thecardkid.com/). It's my first time ordering from them. I ordered 30 of them. They have these listed in their ebay store as well, but the shipping there was like $60. On their website, it was only $25 shipping. It ended up costing me like $5.70 a tube shipped, which was fairly reasonable. I haven't seen any other places with the new tubes for sale yet.

Good luck,
Tom

I like the visual balance of the old ones.

I received mine today. I ordered them Sunday night, so great shipping time.

But, the plastic tube part is definately more flexible (cheaper quality) than they used to be.

I agree I just found these tubes the other day from the same source and received my order and they look great and I am very happy with the company.

Did you guys order over the website or over the phone. I have sent them an email a couple of days ago and no response yet.

Did they ship the tubes UPS or USPS?

Thanks

Got a case of these new tubes today, and I think they are great. They display well and I feel my bats are more protected in them. They seem about the same quality plastic as the old style.

Thanks

Did you guys end up trying these out? Quality of the plastic pretty close to the same?

Are these new Ultra Pro tubes UV protected? I was previously told Ultra Pro was not UV protected. The store I shop at switched to BCW which markets as UV protected. Many of my bats are autographed, so I prefer knowing they are UV protected.
