I'm thinking of bidding on the 1980 Chris Chambliss game worn jersey in their current auction but it seems like alot of their jerseys have problems with them. I was wondering if this jersey looks fine to you guys. Thanks for the help

wilson tag is of the wrong era, unless it was a carryover but that wouldn't be possible because 1980 was the first year of this particular style.

compare the tag to the 1980 braves shirt sold by AMI and another 1980 braves shirt sold at REA. both the AMI and REA shirts have wilson tags that better fit the year. the registered (R) symbol should be on the bottom of the "N" of "wilson", not on the top.

GFC description mentions that the shirt "has no other alterations". other? other than what?

here are the 2 other shirts i referenced with more appropriate wilson tags:

of course it's possible that wilson sewed an old tag onto the chambliss shirt. certainly not unheard of. just wanted it to be known that if you were to purchase the chambliss shirt, the tag is an oddity.

oddly, bill henderson's guide says that 1980 braves home jerseys shouldn't have a nob and that 1980 was the only year they didn't have a nob. honestly, i'm not sure if he's right or wrong as i haven't been able to find any in-game photos in 1980 showing the backs of these shirts.
