On ebay is a 1991-92 Larry Bird home game used jersey supposedly with an official Nba Hall of Fame letter of authenticity. Here's pictures of it. LMK what's wrong with it fella's. Just one flaw that I can see.

Dont the jerseys list the full season name that it was used in? Like 1991-1992

I'll take NOB for two hundred, Alex.

Greg-you're are the winner! I'll send you 200 pennies tomorrow. You know other than the name on the back it's perfect. The front looks great-spacing, etc. The tagging is correct. The size is correct for Larry. The name on back is unexplainable. I've asked for a close up of the HOF letter so I can see what it actually says. If I get anymore info I'll post it. Here's how the back letter should look.

I have a Champion 91-92 that is marked 1991. I agree with Otis that the NOB looks off. The Champion logo to the left of the year tag doesn't look right, either.

If the guy just takes the scissors to the serifs, he'd have made the name look much closer.

Luckily, many of the individuals doctoring jerseys, don't really have a good eye and/or don't do much research.

But there must be some crooks that do, wouldn't you think? They can't all leave a red flag, right?

Surely there are lots of collection center pieces out there that are not as advertised.

But as long as the buyer thinks it's real, everyone is happy.

Well, here's my update: I can't get a peep out of the guy after I asked him about the lettering on the back. He emailed like crazy until that email where I pointed it out that it didn't look right. Oh well. Problem is, is that some bonehead will spend big money on it since it has a HOF letter with it. Whatever that is.

Hi guys,
Sorry to bump up an old thread, but looks like this is exactly what I'm looking for! I've been always looking for a nice Bird game used jersey and came across this one.

The only thing I don't know that I need some expertise on is I've seen some 91-92 Bird jerseys with Size 46 and some Size 48 when looking at other past auction house closings. Apparently, Bird wore Size 46 that year, but later in the season due to his back problems, he upped to Size 48?? Not sure if that's true or BS.

I think that is true. He wore a back brace that last season and wore a 48 sometimes, I think. However, I personally would never buy a Bird 91-92 jersey again. They're everywhere. Way, way too many on the market. 1990-91 and before I'd pursure if you do your homework. Just my 2 cents.

Anyone know why that Bird jersey was pulled from the current ami auctions??

I emailed AMI a week ago about why the Bird jersey was pulled and still no reply. In reading some recent threads on AMI, maybe I should be glad I never bid on it ;)
