yeah, they are impossible to find. JO Sports must have a deal with Holmes in place. they have a bunch of his jerseys from last year with 75th patch, but not the throwback. I've haven't seen any of the Throwbacks hit the market. Here is link to those Holmes jerseys.

Yes we have a deal with Holmes for his 2007 game used jerseys. They display nice use with the 75th anniv. patch. Comes with a letter from Holmes and josportsco. We attach our thermopatch indicating the game, date, etc. Have any questions let me know.

Steelers jerseys seem to be the hardest team in the NFL to get a jersey from. From what I have read, the team does not release their jerseys and has them stored away from the years past as well. I do have a couple of Steelers jerseys that I have bought a few years back (1997 Greg Lloyd Home and a 2000 Scott Shields Home), but they will cost you a decent amount as well. I have not seen many Steelers jerseys available in the time that I have been collecting, which has been since 2005.

WOW! Those prices are absolutely rediculous! I am sure glad none of my boys play for those teams, otherwise I'd be looking at a 2nd mortgage on my house.

Kicker for me isn't so much the jersey asking price (although some people forget the state of the economy these days), but the $300 surcharge for the signed ones when the signing fee charged through GTSM at two upcoming shows is $20!

Get an unsigned one and get it signed and save $280 minus postage.

I wonder also if price may be higher on some is because he may have had a big game or scored a td or something in that game. The pricing is high, but I bet if they were on NFL.com auctions it's about what they would sell for. Has anyone even seen any other jerseys from the Steelers from last season with the sweet 75th Ann. patch? They just seem impossible to find or even the throwbacks used twice last season and once this season. I also wonder if they carried those over and took the patches off.

what's the reason(s) for teams holding onto the game used jerseys/equipment and not selling them off?

The Steelers wore them twice this season as well. Home games against the Ravens & Giants.

I think Holmes was their leading receiver last year.

I just assumed that players held on to them for either themselves, or, as gifts to family and friends............trades.

I thought the jerseys were property of the team and not the players, and they are not allowed to keep them?

in speaking to a current player i know, they must purchase them from the team. they are payroll deducted from their paycheck.

Do you know what he did with the throwback games jerseys? Did you guys get them in from him.
One a side note I was just looking at your Vikings jerseys. Did that Adrian Peterson jersey vs Bears last about 2 seconds. I just saw it today and it's sold. Also are you getting in any Vikings Throwbacks from last year vs Green Bay game. I saw one from Allison on your site, but no one elses or any other Redskins throwbacks from lesser player's from last season.

Bill,

I am not interested in selling the Lloyd jersey. If my plans change, I will keep you in mind.

As for the Vikings throwbacks the team kept them. We only got the Allison because it was issued and he was inactive. See GUU auction hammer $1200. They are impossible!! IF IF I got a Peterson it would price at $10k and would sell before it even hits the site. As for Peterson we got in 2 both unwashed @chicago and vs. GB both sold in 5 minutes for $7k each. They are so unbeleivable it is sickening. They best gamers from the best running back. We will be getting more Peterson's continue to check the site at.
As for Redskins we do have some "common" around $400-$600 and are getting more within the next two weeks.
We will be launching a national marketing campaign regarding J.O. Sports, Inc. and the team deals we have. Currently have 3 teams and will be adding an additional 4 by year end.
Also keep your eyes on the GUU Store section to get the best deals on all of our game used memorabilia. Any question call or email us. jarrod@josportsco.com

that is great news your getting another team in the mix. I'd love to see the Steelers market their gamers with you and tag them after each game. Or even the Patriots. Those seem to be the toughest of any teams to get used stuff from.

Wow that sold for $1,500 as a game issued. Still it's the only throwback 75th patch I've ever seen. Shows how hot Steelers jerseys would be if they ever decide to market them. Other than Holmes hooking up with JO Sports, surprised more Steelers don't cut deals and sell them on their own.

first I've ever seen of a Steelers throwback jersey to hit the market. Looks like it has awesome use.

Looks like JO got in a couple of Parker and Carter jerseys in from this year. Even a throwback helmet.

No offense as i know they post on here. Those are some great items. But even as a steelers fan those price are pretty spendy to me.Way,way out of my range for sure. But as a steelers fan i know that steelers game used items are toughest in all of football to find.So they are certainly worth it.If you have the bankroll to buy one of those items.

I inquired and JO said they might be getting in some Polamalu game worn jerseys soon. They also mentioned the prices too.

How much did they say they would go for?

not really sure if they'd want me to disclose that information publicly, but let me ask you would a Polamalu jersey be considered in the same class value as an Adrian Peterson jersey?

Not to me. One is a running back who when it is all said and done will probably have had a career similar to Barry Sanders. The other is a safety. Granted Troy is an amazing future hall of fame player but no defensive player should be valued the same as the likely top running back of this generation. To put it another way would you pay the same for Ronnie Lott as you would for Barry Sanders? I sure would not. The most valuable jerseys are QBs and RBs hands down because of all the attention they get and the fact that they can be measured by quantifiable stats. And some would argue Troy is not even this generation's best safety but rather Ed Reed is. In fact USA Today named Ed and not Troy its top safety of the 2000s.

I agree that's why I passed, but someone will pay such a good amount for a Polamalu piece, especially a die hard Steelers fan.
