To me its a bad deal. Because if you look up mears number 307544. They grade it an A3 and they say that the name is incorrect font, incorrect front numeral and reverse 9 replacement. So i dont know if it was a Jackson jersey or not. By what they say it sounds like someone tried to make one.

That's good to know...I don't have MEARS access, so I couldn't find that out...I guess thats why the seller told me it didn't come with a MEARS letter...

over 34 bids and over $1k for a jersey with incorrect front number, incorrect nob, incorrect back number. nice. no worries as i'm sure broadway rick will stand behind it should any issues arise.

Posters,

Rudy is absolutely correct in his assessment of this jersey. I observed this same jersey at the "National" two years ago. The owner of the jersey wanted $8K. I explained to him all the reasons that it was not a Reggie gamer including the wrong font and numbering. They are not even close to what the A's used on their flannels.

Secondly, I do not know how MEARS can give this jersey an A3, because with that score they are saying that this jersey can somewhat be attributed to Reggie and that is not the case. There is not one identifier showing this jersey was ever worn by Mr. Jackson. I believe the MEARS scoring system stated the jersey previously had the number #4 on the front and back. It did indeed have another number on it. Someone removed that number and replaced it with a very poor looking #9 that is closer to what the A's wore on their knits from '72 to '76, but is no where close to the numbers used by McAuliffe on A's jerseys from 1968 to 1971.

Does this mean if I take a NY Yankees Lou Pinella and remove his number and replace it with a #44 it becomes an A3 possibly worn by Reggie???

Clearly MEARS should have scored this jersey an "unable to authenticate" period.

The font style of the #9 on this flannel would not even pass as a #9 the A's wore on their knits. It is a terrible attempt to make this jersey pass for a Reggie gamer and scam some innocent buyer out of their hard-earned cash.

This jersey is nothing more than a common A's flannel which on the current market fetches $350.00. The buyer truly did not receive what he paid for in this auction.
