View Full Version : What does you GUU ID represent?

3arod13
11-05-2008, 03:34 PM
There are many different GUU ID's that are obvious what they stand for:

3arod13

3 = Arod's Seattle Mariners Uniform Number
arod = Alex Rodriguez
13 = Arod's New York Yankee Uniform Number

What does your's represent?

Regards, Tony

Mine represents a lack of imagination at the time I registered.

Dewey: first name
2007: year registered

Mine is simply Athletics for my favorite baseball team in Oakland, and the 61 is from my birth year 1961. I have bled green and gold since 1972 because of the colorful uniforms.

My ID is a nickname that one of my friends gave me when he saw me stuffing myself (6'3", 260) into my 1989 Mustang...

"Dude, you need a BIG TRUCK or something.."

It's stuck, and he still calls me that.

Nickname: BIGTRUCK Weight: 260

roberto clemente was called "momen" when he was growing up. that was his nickname. whenever someone would call him to do something, he would say "wait a momen", since his english wasn't all that good then. so the name stuck with him. his 54-62 bats have that as his autograph as well.
momen: nickname
55: is for his rookie year.

Tony - Mine is named after my company which is AllstarsPlus.com so nothing too fancy.

The name AllstarsPlus is for Allstars players PLUS others (as applicable).

Since then I have created other companies using the Allstars prefix so I have added AllstarsArt which sells Sports Art and AllstarsEvents that owns my suites and seats for sporting events.

FastLane80: It's an e-mail address/ID/sign on name I've used since 1998. At that time I was really into cars and lived live "in the fast lane" :rolleyes: 80 is for the year I was born (1980). As destiny would have it, shortly after I created that e-mail, I got my first speeding ticket for going 80 in a 65 in the fast lane :p

Mine's incredibly boring and unoriginal. My first name and last name initial. It's what I used when the Vintage Baseball Collectors Forum was still around (before it turned to cards only). Eric was over there also and when the forum went to cards only, he indicated that he would put a vintage baseball memorabilia forum over here. I just kept the name and avitar that I was originally using.

Squirrel Master is a nickname from work. It comes from the movie Half Baked. MF would not be appropriate to explain, but it is easy to figure out.

Skyking26.........Dave Kingman was really only referred to by 2 nicknames during his career - skyking and kong. He isn't thrilled by the Kong designation, so I go with his early career nickname of skyking and his uniform number of choice, 26...

MR are my first and middle initial or they could be seen as mister - which I'm called on occasion when my initials are printed this way.

Last name ... Musial.

Luckily I am not that old yet...

It is a Tony LaRussa's mugshot from his DUI in Florida circa 2006. It is reminder that nobody is perfect...and it stinks when you are wrong. His expression to me in this photo is one of the more enduring images of Tony -or as I like to call him 'the Master'. For those of you that don't know, I am probably the guy's biggest fan.

If I could put a caption to it, it would say...

"It could be worse...Carp and Mulder could shoot craps and be useless for the rest of their careers..."

Most of you know that I am from Hawaii, so island_style seemed appropriate. What you might not know is that I lived in California (Eagle Rock, Long Beach, Whittier, West Covina, Canyon Country) for several years. Maybe C & H Pure Cane Sugar should have been my GUU ID. Gonna be in Cali in the next few weeks and can't wait to hit up Tommy's.

My ID is just poking fun at all the people going "what up yo" to everyone. My friends started throwing that term around as an inside joke making fun of people since we can't stand that phrase and it just stuck to be a funny thing that I thought I'd use as a member name since I know I'll never forget it when I log on.
