What is your #1 favorite thing in your entire collection? Doesn't have to be game used.

This is my favorite piece. 1994 Original Picture of Alex Rodriguez signing an American League Baseball, which I own.

What's cool about this picture. Arod is wearing his High School Nike Jacket. Wearing his High School Championship Ring. And the woman in the background is Arod's sister Suzy. ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPH!

My favorite piece!

Meaning if you had to get rid of everything, exception one thing. What would you keep?

That's a nice bat! Ok, we'll say top 2. Here's my 2nd favorite.

Touch choice. Since we get two, I will show my two but number two is a toss up between two items:

1. Arod Spring Training jersey from 1995:

2. Toss up between a 1971 Angels Flannel jersey (Jim Spencer) or a 1961 - 1964 Albie Pearson GU Angels cap:

What year is this bat from?

Tony, not really sure what year exactly. It was a gift from the parents when I graduated undergrad. Seems to have a little red tint in the tape, so I would guess from his Reds years.

My 1996 Willie McGee Rawlings gamer - No question. It might not be the most valuable item in my collection, but it makes me smile every time I look at it. Unless you lived in STL when he played - you might not understand the fascination with Wille...but he is more revered in this town than certain hall of famers (rhymes with Fozzy). When he retured to the Cards after his tour of California (Oak, SF), he recieved a HUGE ovation every time he came to the plate.

I had this one signed a couple of years ago. Willie looked at it, touched the handle (where it's grooved), and smiled..'It's one of mine'. Willie is known for using LS C271's, so this is not really a common bat either. Show plenty of 'switch hitting use' too. Thanks Jeff!

i would have to go with my jackie robinson signed ball or my clemente signed ball. i would have to get rid of all my arod cuz it would be sad if i was left with one of his items. might as well get rid of all of it. both authenticated by some signature expert from honabach.

The bat is not cracked nor autographed. It has heavy pine tar. Not the light coat you see on bogus 98 gamers. Hand print impressions on the handle. A bunch of black bat rack marks, a bunch of black NL ball marks. It comes from batch 909. This batch number yielded the 66-70 HR bat. That bat is in the HOF, so this bat was either a BP bat or it was used in between HR's 62 and 66. The batch is from mid to late September. Here are more pics.

The kid that has posted on here before listed his photomatched signed gamer on ebay with a sosa. But 3k is way too much if thats the bat you are talking about. i dont even care if its photomatched. McGwire signed Gamers even 98 dont command that much money unless it was 100% used to hit a HR

I think he paid like $1900 plus auction fees for that bat in the spring, and I think he got the 98 Sosa from Ball Park Heroes off ebay for $395. Im not sure if he is saying the Sosa is a photo match or a style match. IF I had to take a guess the 98 Mcgwire is worth about $2500. I picked up a signed 2000 with better use than the 98 for $1100. My 2000 also came with a Cardinals Care COA and it is cracked. That 98 is a very nice bat though! I would like to see better photos of the barrel and see what kind of seam marks it has.

If anyone ever wants to sell a Cardinals Mac SIGNED bat, pounded like I keep seeing in these images, please contact skyking442@hotmail.com, regardless of when that may be. I was given some info from a kind collector today that ballpark heroes has a 98, but the bat looks game ready like so many that were likely given out by McGwire as gifts that year. At $1495, I'll pass on a bat with limited use like that one...

Here are my top three! All 3 bats are photo or video matched.

1. Manny Ramirez 2007 X-bat, used to hit two ALDS HR's, a 3-run walk off HR in the bottom of the 9th of game 2 vs Angels pitcher Francisco Rodriguez and a 475 ft. HR to centerfield at Angel stadium, ALDS game 3.

2. Manny Ramirez 2007 ALCS and World Series X-bat. You can see part of the gold "Rawlings" W.S. ink transfer on the barrel.

3. Manny Ramirez 490th HR Sam Bat-red handle, from the 2007 season vs Yankees 8-28-07, 490th career HR and his 20th HR of the season.

Bobby, I think your No. 1 ALDS bat is my favorite of the three, but they're all awesome! That thing looks like it's been to war (please, no one take offense to the characterization)! '07 was a very good year!! I can see why those would be your favorites. John

I know I've posted this before, but the locker nameplate that Cal removed from his locker (a la Joe Green) and gave me after the last home game of the '88 season will always be my favorite. If anyone is ever interested about the story behind Billy's locker nameplate that evening (pretty cool story) let me know...
