A buddy of mine has this old CLIPPER bat. I think it's from the 30's. It's 35" long, and weighs a ton. There is nothing written or stamped on the knob. Any ideas?

Earl Brown played for Little Rock in 1932. Maybe that answers something. He was a pitcher. Neat bat.

Awesome!! Thank you very much for that info Nate. I was thinking it might be the Earl Browne that played for the Pirates and Phillies in the 30's and the name was spelled incorrectly. Your answer makes a lot more sense, obviously.

Thanks again.

Wait-

Here is the information that I have.

There is a Earl Brown, and a Earl J. Browne, that you speak of. Earl Brown played many minor league years up until 1932 which was the year he played for Little Rock. Now, I checked Earl J. and he actually played with Little Rock as well in 1932-35. Which confused me some, but they actually played together, Earl Brown, the pitcher, and Earl J. Browne, the hitter, in 1932, for Little Rock. Quite interesting really. If I had to take a guess, I would say the bat belonged to Earl J. Browne?

Hopefully that doesnt confuse you. Let me know if you have anymore questions. You are more than welcome to email me if you would like as well.
