I was checking out some of the game used last night on ebay and I found a pair of Rafael Furcal game worn cleats from home run #2 in the 2003 season. I did some research and found out that he wore them on May 2,2003. I then checked gettyimages.com and I actually found a pic of him wearing them! I bought them right away cuz they come with a COA signed by Furcal from ASI. Is this price just too good to be true? Total price including shipping was only $90. LMK what you think. Oh yeah I almost forgot to mention, the home run that he hit when he wore these cleats was in the 11th inning to help the Braves win the game.

I just get nervous with guys with low feedback.

Are you guys worrying if a guy with a 15 feedback is shipping a $80.00 item? Pay with PayPal and you are protected. I'm sure you got a good deal, but really, what can you resell the item for, $150.00 maybe $200.00.

I once bought a collection of B18 Blankets for $500.00. I called a local expert on vintage baseball collectibles and he told me what to pay, since I was not familiar with the items.

Then I take the collection to him about a year later, and he offers me over $10,000.00 for the collection. I guess he was low-balling me to buy them for a reasonable price.

Now I wish I still had them!

The question about what are these shoes worth? It appears $80.00! Don't expect to retire from the profits (if any!) on these shoes.

Good luck with trying to move Furcal equipment. Two or three years ago, I could not get enough and the prices realized by collectors was crazy. Now? DEAD. Maybe I can make a deal with someone to unlead all of my Wally Joyner and Furcal equipment in exchange for a hot cup of joe and a good New York bagel.

Just my thoughts.

I think I'm going to hang on to these since I'm a huge Braves & Furcal fan. I really like the fact that I have a picture of him wearing them. It's pretty much impossible to find a picture of someone wearing the game used you have. I was just lucky that I found pics of him from May 2nd. Getty images usually just has pics from like only 2 games a month

kylehess10 - as a fellow Braves collector and fan, I understand your excitement over the spikes. About a year ago I was in the Braves clubhouse store here in Atlanta looking through some game used equipment they had just received from the team. I asked if they had anything that wasn't out front yet and they said yes, there was a bunch of game used helmets in back. Near the bottom of a huge box of helmets, I saw an autographed g/u Furcal helmet with a price tag of $500 on the back and $50 on the brim; clearly a mismarked tag. They ended up selling it to me for $50. I was pretty excited.
