I recently bought a 1950's Lou Gehrig professional model G69 bat (10-20 years after his death). It's in great condition, uncracked and showing good game use. I basically have 2 questions.
1. Would PSA/DNA or Mears authenticate the bat as a "team index" bat?
2. And, if so, would it be worth having authenticated?
The reason I'm asking is because it is one of the finest examples I've seen. Or would that not be reflected in any authentication of the bat?
