Wow.

If you look at the Roger Maris personal model glove, it has "Maris" written on the strap for the back of the glove above the label.

Since it is not mentioned in the description, I am going to guess that it was placed there in the hopes of someone thinking it just might be....

Here is the question I asked him:

Greetings, can you make out the writing on the back of the glove? Can't quite see it in the photos.
Thanks.

Here is the item description:

Not to nitpick but I was looking over some of his items listed and I looked at the Don Mattingly Jersey. Everything is ok in the photos from a quick glance but if you look really good at the #1 on the sleeve it looks brand new and crisp. Which tells me it was applied after this has been worn.

A Jersey from the Yankees back then were worn over and over and being as old as it is now. That patch should not be new.

Now he could of just did a restoration to the Jersey patch by replacing an old one but, by this sellers reputation I doubt it and makes me wonder how much of the rest of the Jersey is doctored.

Actually, nothing is OK - wrong size for Mattingly. he wore size 42 until 1993. It should also have the embroidered strip tag in the collar with his name, year, and set...

Dave

Hello Dave thanks for the update.

Like I said I just took a quick glance but the crisp #1 stood out to me.

the P on the helmet is way too big compared to the one on the cards and the one on the helmet that was sold in the auction.

He also buys a lot of blank helmets as well. Like this one. Hmm...

Im sure we'll be seeing that helmet soon with a fresh logo on it.

Doesn't he know he's suppose to buy stuff under a different name than what he sells the fakes under?

I'll bring this thread up again at some point, but I want you guys to take a look at this:

and this:

Then put 2 and 2 together to see what his next trick will be....

Thats funny you mention that, because those were my exact thoughts last night when I saw the decals. I know he's up to no good with those!

I was just informed by the seller that his two transactions with the Yankees helmets never came to fruition...they were both little league helmets, and he left feedback accordingly.
