A full-sized replica of the 1978 World Series trophy, made for Thurman Munson, sold Monday for $207,000 at the MLB All-Star FanFest’s auction at the Javits Center.

Munson’s 1977 World Series ring sold for $143,750; his 1976 American League Most Valuable Player Award sold for $126,500 and his 1978 World Series ring went for $97,750. In addition, his 1976 World Series ring, and a home uniform from 1979, his final season, sold for $86,250, while his 1974 Gold Glove sold for $51,750.

All prices include Hunt Auctions’ 15 percent commission.

A blue catcher’s mitt with autographs of players from Joe DiMaggio to Satchel Paige that were gathered by Munson during Old-Timers Days went for $18,400.

Two Babe Ruth artifacts sold for prices that eclipsed anything that once belonged to Munson. A hat that Ruth wore and gave to a Cleveland bar owner sold for $327,750 and a signed bat Ruth used in 1924 sold for $195,500.

The auction continues Tuesday with memorabilia being sold by Whitey Ford.

I bid on the ALL STAR Auction done directly through MLB

I won some pretty cool items which I was surprised that I won because I did not place my bids that high.

A game used/hit baseball (out #1) by Albert Pujols - Home Run Derby
A game used/ hit baseball (out #5) by David Ortiz - Home Run Derby
A Gold used/hit baseball (last out #10) by Alex Rios - Home Run Derby

Just got home from NYC and the Whitey Ford section of the auction. I picked up some great items, highlighted by the first pitch baseball Whitey threw out to start the 2004 season, signed by Whitey, Rizzuto and Berra. Also picked up a couple Ford Yankees contracts and lots of Ford 8x10 signed photos as well as some other items. It was a well-run auction and certainly worth attending.

Does anyone know if anything in Whitey Ford's auction drew any big bids?

Has anyone heard about MLB (or anyone else) auctioning any items from the Futures game? I'd love to own Jamie D'Antona's jersey, should it ever become available.

I got the ball Kershaw pitched to strike out Elvis Andrus in last year's Futures game.

Looking at some other items as well now!
