I sent an email to the seller asking his comments on the knob of the bat which i bevelled. The knobs are typically flattened on these bats.

Anyone else ever seen a Rawlings with this shaped knob?

Metsbats well I would be curious how this bat is considered Game Used???

There is not one drop of use on it.

So I am curious what makes the seller think this is a Game Used bat.

I have actually seen several Joe Mauer Rawlings bats from mid to late 2006 with a flat knob like that. The bats actually had a similar top to them too. It almost looks like the used billets that were too short :) He also uses Rawlings, so it might be something unique to how they produce their bats.

It's where they cut off the nubs and don't sand the edges smooth. Several companies make their bats this way. A lot of the Maple companies started putting stickers over the knobs of the bats to cover the hole left by the lathe. It's more cost effective and faster than sanding the ends of the bat like we do.
