Did hats in the 80's NOT have MLB logos on the back? There is a game used hat I am interested in buying but it doesn't have the MLB logo on the back. I'm don't know the history of the MLB logo on hats so I thought I'd ask here.

I believe the logos on the back of caps started around 1990 or 1991.

I am pretty sure it was 1992-1993 when they started putting logos on the back of hats.

I have been buying the fitted new era hats for a long time and to the best of my knowledge they did not have the mlb logo on them in the 80's and just started recently within the past few years putting the new era logo on the retail hats but i am not sure on the game used hats!!

MLB caps in the 80s featured the logo only on the inside tag.
MLB caps in the 70s didn't even carry those.
