Rudy, bobby and fellow readers-

Offered on Ebay are the following Mike Schmidt 1970's Phillies cleates:

I'm not aware of Schmidt ever wearing Mizuno, size 9 1/2 (he wore size 10 1/2) or marking his usual uniform number 20 UNDER the bottom of the sole! Any photo evidence out there....just one photo of him in Mizuno cleates? He wore Addidas, Brooks and mostly Nike.

Mike Schmidt also used Puma Cleats. Do you know what size Pete Rose wore, he was a Mizuno man.

If you look at the photo below of Pete Rose when he was with Montreal Expos during spring training, FL 3/20/1984. The Mizuno cleats look like the same model offered on ebay. These cleats are most likely form the 80's and not the 70's as stated in the auction.

Bobby-WOW! This is the first time I have ever seen Schmidt waearing Pumas! I dare you to find him wearing the type of Mizuno's as offered on Ebay.

Here's a game photo of Schmidt vs Pirates 4/21/76 wearing Puma cleats and another pic of Schmidt and Al Holland after winning the pennant vs Los Angeles Dodgers. Philadelphia, PA 10/8/1983. Holland is wearing the same type of Mizuno cleat.

Also, the person offering the cleats on ebay has revised the listing.
