There was an interesting bit of information contained in a short article about Ryan Dempster on page 5C in Tuesday's edition of USA Today (5/27/08). The article stated that Dempster sweated through five jerseys in Sunday's outing at muggy Wrigley Field against the Dodgers.
Demspster pitched seven innings, so that means he was changing into a dry jersey in nearly every inning. Unless the equipment staff was doing some fast washing, that should tell us that Dempster has a minimum of five home jerseys on hand this season.
