That is amazing he had the same BP bat for over a year. Anyone know what kind of bat it was? I read some other story where Mike Lowell claimed he used one bat for most of a season. You would think that if a player got a week out of a bat it was a good run.

That story is bad - A$$.

I would go to Phillies games in STL just to watch Chase play ball. This may not make much sense to some of you, but I got screamed at by my Dad because I cheered for Will Clark (a Giant) at a game as a youngster...Will was not the most well liked character in STL in the 80's....

It's the same way now for Chase. He is just a great ball player - could care less about his personal life, or character flaws - just worth the money I pay to go to the stadium. This story solidifies it for me - I hope my son can appreciate Chase in his prime.
