Stumped

Here is a question for the baseball fanatics and I know it won't get touched for awhile on the autograph page. I pick up autographs at minor league games and like to get the guys to inscribe "1st rd pick" for the guys that get drafted in the first round. Well my question comes with guys that are compensation picks. Corey Brown of the Oakland Athletics is an example, the internet says Drafted in the first round 57 overall. Is he still a first round pick? Would he be able to inscribe that?

AWA yeah he would still inscribe 1st round pick as he was picked in the first round. He just wasn't the first guy.

That is kind of what I was thinking, just was torn between asking the guys to inscribe that or not.
