Hey guys (Cards Collectors),

I am sure by now you have seen the new style Pujols Walker finished Marucci bat on eBay. What a great item if it is indeed used (even in spring training)...

The bat looks "minty" (according to one collector I know). I guess the question is - Who will end up with it???

Looks like this one has been re-listed by the same seller after it sold the first time around, with some extra photos.

Only this time, there are photos of the use...and the BIN is pretty low for a Pujols bat...even a spring training model.

Still a nice bat, and looks pretty legit. I'd like to hear Jeff Scott's 2 cents on it....

My fear is why did he leave those photos off???? They show great wear!!!! Makes me wonder if they were recently added :(

It almost looks like two different bats. In one photo the barrel looks very clean from an overhead view. Then in the photo with all the other bats you can see ball marks from the top. I don't know if it's from the lighting or not though.

Either way, Jack Marucci doesn't make souvies that I know of. As he's told me before he doesn't have the supply to make too many extras. That's why he limits the number of players who gets them.

from the pics of the barrel end and knob that is the same bat. All the marks match up.

I am comparing the two auction bats and not the one in the pics with all the bats in them. So Id say he is selling this bat again as the first sale fell through or he added some use to it

I talked to the seller...

The first listing described the use as 20 hits...so the use was there prior to the second auction. The image that Brian describes: (the ball marks on top of the barrell are light reflection).

I put in a good offer on this bat, and the seller said he was gonna take it soon if no other offers, but someone used the BIN. Even though the bat had a couple ?? I wish I had used the Buy It Now.

Brian,

Last year I saw on the market some autographed Marucci David Wright model bats which in place of the "DW Custom Cut" under Wright's name was 'Autograph Model'. Perhaps Marucci does make a certain number of "show" bat for autographs for particular players and probably made of more inferior wood than the game model bats.

The only person I have seen them made for so far is David Wright for LMI...
