Who made the Chi Sox Jerseys in 1999

Recently there was a White Sox game used jersey on ebay that was made by Wilson. How legit do you suppose that is? Had a certificate from White Sox charities. I didn't bid on it b/c I wanted to make sure that Majestic or some other company wasn't doing the jerseys at that time. Also, if Wilson is correct what should the tagging look like? I believe it was a red Wilson tag and next to it a white box with black lettering that said premiere something rather. Players name, number, and year were on a separate tag underneath the wilson logo. Any help would be great.

The Sox wore both Russell and Wilson during that era. Most players wore Russell, but some did wear Wilson. The red Wilson tag is correct for 1999 White sox jerseys.

according to henderson's guide:

1999: home white pinstripe - russell
road gray - russell
alt black - wilson
alt pinstripe vest - wilson/russell

perhaps mike can provide some more insight. here are some examples of 1999 white sox russell and wilson tags:

the sox used a combination of russell and wilson for much of the 90s. from 1992-1998, russell and wilson actually provided many of the same styles for the sox. ie: home wilson jerseys AND home russell jerseys during the same year. players seemed to wear what they preferred. during 1 game, you'd have half the team wearing russell and the other half wearing wilson.
