Orioles Fanfest

I will be at the Orioles fanfest and will getting there pretty early to get in line.I will be having a Red Quicksilver backpack on.I also wear Glasses so if you see me stop me and say hi.

My plan is to go. How many people normally go to this event? Should you focus on getting autographs first or go to the jersey section first? How many jerseys do they normally have and what is the price range?

I am coming from the Lehigh Valley area in PA so there is a possibility I could cancel out (maybe even go to the Phillies game instead).

I'll definitely be there. I will be with my pops, uncle, and cousin. I have no idea what I'll have with me for identifying purposes, but I do plan on hitting the game used section as soon as I get in, and hope to buy a bunch. I will keep my eyes open for the red quicksilver back pack. Theres a picture of me up on one of the chat threads...I am with method man. Hope to see you there.

one the event calendar it says that memorabilia sale in Bud Light Warehouse Bar...looks like its in the warehouse, perhaps ground floor. I'm sure we will all find it and make out like champs when we get there!

Price were a little higher than last year but still pretty decent. 180 for GU jerseys, 90 for game issued, pants were 80, hats were $5! the only bats i saw were tejada and they were 80. some gu helmets but they disappeared pretty quick.
i saw nothing besides the hats for markakis but im still happy with what i took home
Pretty good haul and pretty crazy rummaging through the piles with the collectors!

Just got back from the fanfest. Pretty disappointing. Very few bats, only Tejada and those were $80 GU jerseys were mostly coaches some pitchers, Chad Paranto, Jason Johnson, etc. and were $180. The only decent deals were on hat which were $5, got a couple of those including a Markakis.

If I am paying $180 per jersey, I would hope they would have at least have had some of the mid-level recognizable players. The rest of the even was great- my 3-year old loved it. The lines looked pretty long for the autographs but they had pretty much everybody signing.

In all the Orioles Fanfest was okay after all.I got there at 545 AM and was first in line.The Prices started out at $180.00 and was Lowered to $150.00.So I picked up a Jersey then.I also picked up then 3 Tejada Game Used Bats.Came back later in the Day and the prices were $100.00 for Game Used Jerseys.I waited a little while and around 245 pm they Lowered them for the Last time to $75.00 for Game Used Jerseys and $30.00 for Practice Jerseys.So I went and looked through the pile and Picked a few Game Used Jerseys and Practice Jerseys that I will be Putting up on EBAY soon.Let me know if interested in them.

Just got back myself from fanfest (about 3 hour drive for me).

I thought that the jerseys were priced high at first, but decided to purchase some when they were $180 (I did not know that they would lower them to $75 in the end). I did find a Rafael Palmeiro in there so I made sure I bought that one. After getting autographs throughout the day, I decided to head back and that was when the jerseys must have been lowered to $75. I bought some more then. If I would have know that was going to happen, I would have only bought the Palmeiro and held off on the others.

I decided against any hats or bats. The bats were basically all Miguel Tejeda and did not show a lot of game use, so I held off.

I thought it was a neat experience for me, but keep in mind this was my first time. I think I did notice Geoff from the message board. BTW, I was carrying a blue Phillies festival bag that held my balls that I was getting autographed.

All in all I had a good time at fanfest. Geoff, great meeting you...glad you stuck around for the prices to drop!!! I didn't come away with anything game used, nothing struck a cord with me early on and before I new it it was 3:15. I left with a Brian Roberts bobble head and an Adam Jones Autograph on the sweet spot of a new ML Baseball...plus I spent some time with my pops and family. I will go back next year...maybe even show up a little earlier, but I will definitely get sleep the night before.

Thats what I would like to know because I did not see any top Star Game Used Jerseys unless they were gone within the First Minute because I was in the Room by then and had about 20 jerseys and looked up and saw the Price and Droped them all.I did get a Garrett Olson Game Used Jersey that I am Keeping as I have his Triple A Tides Game Used Jersey to Match.I also got his Hat and Practice Jersey.So I guess I am now Collecting Olson Game Used Items.

Nice to meet you as well. I did try to get in at the end to see what was availaible and they had locked down the door at that point. Probably the best thing that I got was the game used air flow batting helmet #39 from Jef Fierentino from '06. The 11 game used hats I picked were from Surhoff, Baines, Patterson, Perlozzo, Hendricks, Dempsey, etc.

The only top tier jersey I found was a Palmeiro gray #25. It was hagging up on the second rack of jerseys. I got in there about 9:35 because when I went up to the ticket booth, a season ticket holder gave me and my friend their extra tickets and did not charge. This was great for me because of my plans to buy jerseys.

I should have probably bought a hat or two, but it is not 100% accurate that the person you thought was wearing it wore it, and the hats by the end of the day were all over the place and mostly gone. Also, the Tejeda bats seemed to be lightly used so I decided to hold off.

I had a great time and wish closer teams to me would do this (Phillies, Yankees, Mets).

Btw, Geoff if you are on the younger side with glasses and were on a cell phone at times then I think I saw you. You also made your purchase a few people in front of me at around 3:00-3:15 in line.

I do not have a digital camera, so I cannot post a picture. I was really surprised when I found a Palmeiro in there. I am not interested in selling it anytime soon, but will keep it in mind for the future.
