The following is a 300W/4000K ball being offered for sale at Grey Flannel. I am interested in the ball, but know little about Grey Flannel (although it seems to get solid reviews at GUU) or prices for other Clemens 300W/4000K game used balls sold to date (if in fact there have been any). I'd appreciate your thoughts on this item, as well as third-party authenticators I might have look at this ball as well (I assume Simon or PSA).

By the way... the "great provenance" mentioned below appears to be a Fed Ex receipt directly from Clemens (including multiple items).

Thanks for the assistance,

-Lee

PRICE : 4,750.00 STATUS : Available DESCRIPTION : On Friday June, 13th 2003 Yankees pitcher Roger Clemens fanned 10 batters for a Yankees 5-2 victory in an inter-league showdown against the St. Louis Cardinals. In that game “The Rocket” amassed his 300th career victory and his 4,000th career strikeout. Offered here is an O.M.L. Lee,

This is the 3rd game used ball that I have seen from Roger Clemens' 300th Win / 4,000 K game.

Ball 1 - The ball that you have mentioned on Grey Flannel.

Ball 2 - Leland's auctioned one off during their "All Star Auction". The ball sold for $2,643 and can be seen here: http://www.lelands.com/bid.aspx?lot=74&auctionid=406

Ball 3 - I currently have one in my personal collection. I would be more than happy to get some photos to you if you wish.

Hope this helps!

-AJ

Did you call Grey Flannel to discuss how they obtained the baseball? I'm sure Richie will offer whatever he can to let you know more about the item.

I bought mine from Tri-Star for $999 back in late 2003. It is MLB and Tri-Star authenticated. It doesn't look like the GFC one is authenticated. I was told by a Tri-Star rep that they had a few from the game.

Thanks,
