1993 Ozzie Guillen - ESM - patch?

1993 Ozzie Guillen game-used jersey offered by ESM.

My question: does anybody know anything about why that Comiskey patch is brown? I've only ever seen it in black.

Again, I've never seen or heard of a brown Comiskey patch. Anyone have any knowledge of what it is or could be?

I've seen a few Sox patches that have a brown tint to them from being sun faded, but they're usually attached to jerseys with tremendous wear. Not sure if it's the sun, detergent, or a combination of both, but I think what we're seeing in the photo ESM jersey is a very faded patch. I haven't seen this jersey so I don't know how much use it has. Knowing if the rest of the jersey shows good use would be helpful.
