NFL Lockerroom Cleanout

I was watching ESPN coverage on the Dallas Cowboys following their loss to the NY Giants. They had footage of the end of year lockerroom cleanout & had a shot of a garbage can that was full of used cleats, gloves and other garbage. Does anyone know if this just ends up in a landfill? It would really be a shame if it did.

It is all resold, nothing is tossed out. They are in talks with a different memorabilia company on handling all their game used stuff.

I saw that ESPN clip and was wondering where it would all go. I am sure there are a few workers that have one duty of making sure some of that stuff is still around and not just walking out by other employees.
