Has anyone ever seen this type of generic Rawlings tag on a Rockets jersey, or for that matter, any 1983 NBA game worn jersey?

I've owned and sold many NBA gamers from this era, however, all have been the standard red Rawlings tag with the size on it

Grey Flannel tag on the Sampson jersey:


on the back. All numbers and letters are done in white tackle twill. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.

This Rawlings tag is used with a size neck tag. I have seen this tandem used on Rawlings salesman's samples. The tag also looks to have never been washed. Rawlings did make early 80s Rockets jerseys and the first example (extra length flag tag with standard tag) is what I have seen. I don't know if Sampson used this jersey. If he did, it appears to be in un-washed condition.

I have seen this style tagging on some NBA gamers. A forum member owns a Sonics with neck tag from this era. I have owned a few salesman samps with this dual Rawlings tagging. Size 40 seems small. But, Sampson was thin...should be some xtra length. The lack of washing makes me say Salesman's sample. I'll check their auction later.
