I have a 2002 Sosa game used batting glove, but that's about it. I have recently spent a bit on a ManRam and Arod jersey so I was relieved to see that they weren't on the list.

I have 15 Mo Vaughn bats from his Red Sox days. I have no plans to sell these bats, and I enjoyed collecting them. His alleged involvement came in 2001 for HGH to help heal an ankle injury while he was on the Angels, after leaving the Red Sox.

Tell me about it Joe. Although, there are still a few of us who are relieved that we didn't shell out $3500 for a Mac bat!

As far as the other Cards - Vina, Ankiel or Mercker....I have an Ankiel bat, and zilch of the others. I always wondered if that lady doing dougnuts in Ray Lankford's yard (the same one that accused him of being a cheater and tossing a brick into his living room) ever devalued his stuff?;)

Luckily Baltimore moved Tejada before the crap storm. I think the Palmerio stuff kinda soured them on the whole illegal drugs idea. Wonder if Miggy loaded up a spike to teach Raffie a lesson on keeping his trap shut?

The only one I have is Gary Sheffield.......I have his set #1 Road Jersey from this season (First Tigers Road Gamer) and a pair of autographed batting gloves from this season.........The Mitchell report will not influence my decision to part ways with them or keep them in any way........

I have $50K invested in Clemens items so I am really pissed (financially speaking right now).

I wonder if Roger will personally write me a check to make me whole!

The impact is huge as we all saw with McGwire and Palmeiro items after their issues.

I get an email from eBay today to let me know that I was high bidder on a Clemens item again due to bidder retractions:

i believe people are correct in saying that the value of lesser players won't be affected. noone really cares whether some .225 hitter was juiced or not or whether their $40 fernando vina batting gloves will plummet to $30.

superstars are another matter. people point to the effect that steroids have had palmeiro and mcgwire items. i believe they've also had a large effect on bonds items. jeff kranz took a bath when he recently unloaded his bonds items. "..Before BALCO, game-used Bonds bats could command $3,500, he says. But in recent months, they have gone for as little as $1,100. "It's like bad news on a stock," he says. Kranz's auction at Lelands.com, which ends Friday, has attracted moderate interest. He hopes the Giants jersey that the FBI seized will go for $15,000 -- half what it was once worth." that's 3 major stars who've been mixed up with steroid issues and all of their items have dropped. i don't see why it wouldn't happen with clemens.

i don't know what's happened to sosa items.

I have quality gamers (Bats) of Sosa, Mcgwire, Bagwell, Palmeiro, I just got a nice `98 Glaus, Pudge, Caminiti, to name a few. I`d like another Mcgwire, if someones selling. I have 4 or 5 Sosa`s, including a pounded `98. I`m interested in a cork gamer of Sosa, if anyone has one. NO, I`m not kidding. These are just the Players I grew up watching. I suppose I "got a hit" to stay on the topic, but I`m not selling any at this point. My best player collection is Tony Gwynn. I also like V. Guerrero.

I have a 1996 Todd Hundley gu KC Slammer from the year he hit 41 homer runs to break the single season record for catchers. This bat has new meaning as he most likely was on roids when he broke the record (since broken by Javier Lopez)

I also have two Todd Pratt and Matt Franco bats (one of which is his 2000 WS game bat).

My biggest lost is my Palmeiro 477th Home run Old Hickory bat.

Thankfully I sold my Bonds, Sammy Sosa and Jose Canseco stuff several years ago!

No bath taken over here... some minor items may lose a little value...

Like David, I also have Todd Hundley bats... a Lenny Dykstra Tennessee Thumper (ouch to Robert, the owner of his 86 WS jersey)... and a Troy Glaus g/u Big League Challenge jersey. Not much of a pounding.

I'd hate to be in Andrew's shoes at this time regarding the Clemens stuff.

I tend to think that the '86 Dykstra WS jersey would maintain most or all of its value because of the overall significance of the item. The right year, the right team, the right jersey, and an important player.

I acquired a brown sam bat from adam riggs when he was with the memphis redbirds in 2003 and he then autographed the barrell in gold paint pen. "Stay Honest Adam Riggs +" .....I wish that was the story adam...i wish it was..but still an interesting item.

I am the proud owner of a 2003 Roger Clemens Yankees jersey, with Steiner docs. It's the gem of my collection, but I have let out a few sarcastic chuckles since I heard the news...

I also have a 1997 Andy Pettitte jersey (Steiner) and a photomatched 2004 Sheffield helmet (Steiner). The news on Pettitte stung, as he is one of the true home-grown Yankees that I always loved.

I'm going to keep these items for now, because I love them. All three show tremendous wear and they're from historically significant players. Whether or not they go into the HOF is another matter...

JUAN GONZALEZ....Yes, he was mentioned in the Mitchell Report

However, I was lucky enough to sell my entire Juan Gonzalez collection back when he first started getting injured all the time. I saw this up and coming young kid....Alex Rodriguez...so I got rid of my Juan Gonzalez collection and started to collect Alex Rodriquez.

Although back then, I did hear about Juan possibly using steriods, but that didn't stop me from continuing to collect his stuff.

I find this odd however. Although I still have a few autographed Juan Gonzalez pieces left, I found a game used minor league signed ball on ebay yesterday, with a buy it now for $15, and bought it.

What made me buy it? Guess something things are still in our blood!

I saw someone in this forum, who is married, at a restaurant with another woman yesterday. Of course because what I saw means he must be cheater on his wife. Yeah, right. Give me a break.

Nick you triggered my memory, I do have two Nails bats (one 86 WS) but you know what whoever didn't think Nails was on Roids after he came to spring training in 89 looking like Lou Ferrigno must be taking illegal substance too!

As far as hits I only consider the Palmeiro bat a loss.

I agree with you. My Hundley bats cost me very little, and my Dykstra bat is a key part of my 86 Mets collection... again, not an overly pricy item (thankfully I collect a team whose items are still available at affordable prices).

I also agree with commando regarding the Dykstra WS jersey -- Good point, it is indeed a significant piece and also was worn at a time that steroids had not yet entered the picture.
