Chipper Jones game worn batting gloves---$497.01 ???? [Archive]

Anybody see the Chipper Jones batting gloves in Historic Auctions?? They went for $497.01!!! They don't even show much game use at all, yet they still went for 4x-5x the normal price that I see his gloves go for. Anybody know why?

I'd say two people had the same x-mas gift idea in mind. just a guess.

i have no idea why those gloves sold for that amount but it's my opinion that historic's hammer prices should taken with a grain of salt considering how many "sold" items mysteriously wind up later on ebay being sold again by either historic or asi.
