What do you think about his bat? It doesn't seem to have any use, but could it be game issued?? There is a scary lack of COA, LOA, or any type of proof to go with this bat.. It's at a local antique market.. bat is 33" long. They don't claim for it to be issued, just that the autograph is original, but the markings are throwing me off.

I can guarantee you that this bat was made at a minimum of 30 years after DiMaggio's playing career was over.

There are several ways to have Louisville Slugger make a "game bat".
First, is the player orders the bat during the season.
Second, the team will sometimes order them.
Third, the players agent can sometimes order them with permission from the player.
Fourth, a retired player can order his own game bats.
Fifth and finally, the executer of a deceased player's estate can order game bats for that player.

THanks, BMH That's great information as always.

They're asking $2,500 and show it as just an autographed item. Thanks for everyone's replies. It's well out of my price range for an autograph, but thought it may be a steal for an issued item.

Thanks again.
