Would anybody happen to know where this big red mark came from?

Some BP balls leave green marks. I'd say the red is from a pick up softball game :p

All the bat needs now is a yellow mark in the middle, and it could double for a traffic light :p

Some company used to make red weighted baseballs for pitchers. I used to use them in high school...

Maybe someone soft tossed Royce one of these...? OF course, the balls weighed much more than the average official ball - so if that was the case, the bat may have succumbed to the consequenses.

Those are big smudges for a baseball. He probably got mad and took a swing at something...a batting helmet, bat rack, locker, etc.
