Be aware.

There is a new scam going on eBay.

While I was reviewing items on eBay, the page I was looking at switched to this page.

http://www.baftamare2006.home.ro (http://www.baftamare2006.home.ro)

Notice the browser heading when this happens: http://www.ebay-home.us.ms/ (http://www.ebay-home.us.ms/)

Looks like a legitimate eBay page for your sign on info, but it is fake.

When you try to go back to the page you were looking at, it keeps switching back.

These scum are trying to get your user name and password.

When you are on eBay and this happens, right click your mouse on the page and click "properties". If the properties shown are http://www.baftamare2006.home.ro (http://www.baftamare2006.home.ro), sign off and run virus / spyware software.

I ran all of my spyware, virus, Norton, and everything I have but couldn't find anything. Not sure what this is,

BUT DO NOT ENTER YOUR INFORMATION!

Good luck, and be careful.

I have traced the fake eBay webpage to this site.

http://www.mailform.cz/en/form.asp (http://www.mailform.cz/en/form.asp)

It is originating from Czechoslovakian.

Another form of scam that is going on relative to ebay, if you are an active Seller is as follows - someone e-mails you and says that there payment is on the way and what is the shipping status of their item - someone you have not done business with. You have to respond using the little yellow button. When you do - you are pompted for your e-mail and password. Do not use the little yellow button with anyone you are not doing business with, unless its a question about your item and it comes from a legitimate ebay user. Just an fyi.....jim caravello

I get those all the time. The best bet is if you are un-sure, just go to "My eBay" and click "My Messages" on the left side of the screen and any legitimate messages will come up.

If you feel an email is fake from eBay, forward it to: spoof@ebay.com

Exactly right, Joel. These guys come up with some really clever scams, but the MY MESSAGES is the best way to check.

Wow, Sammy...you are good. Thanks !!!
