I fail to understand how--every time they redesign their uniforms--the "Rays" manage to make them worse than the ones they replace.

I would have changed the team name to the St. Petersburg Pelicans.

That name has already been used (seriously). I believe it was a minor league team ???

It was also the name of the short lived Senior Professional Baseball Leagues Inaugural Championship team...St. Petersburg Pelicans 1990...

I have Dave Rozema's Jersey from the 1991 Team (Last year of the league) made by Speedline and is a very nice looking jersey....

I have lived in St. Pete since 1971 and I remember most every season seeing an article about the players (75 and older) in the St. Pete Times . Nowadays , they are called Kids and Kubs . I believe they are still playing ????

I forgot to comment on the DEVIL RAYS new uniforms.....
Lets start with the name . If I were on an opposing baseball team playing against "The Rays" , I don't think the name would strike any fear in me .
Why don't they just go ahead and call them "The Sunshine Rays" . Then all the baseball world can laugh at them. Their play on the field is already laughable!

I will still call them the DEVIL RAYS!

As for the uniforms BORING ! and to think the team most likely paid someone to come up w/ the ideas and styles .
